Volunteer Work Other Videos

Removing Tsunami sludge settled below the floorboards. Its tough to get to the mud and quite cramped to use big tools, but its important to get the foundation clean before people can come back to their homes.

Exceptional interviews with some of the people INJM works with in Ishinomaki. Video tells their stories from 3/11 and their courage 9 months on as they rebuild their lives.

Stripping plasterboard from walls. Due to being soaked in tsunami waters for up to 3 days, the walls are damaged and unhygienic. They have to be removed and new ones put up.

Insides of a gutted house, once the walls, floors and mud have been removed. They are now ready for new materials to be put up!

Short documentary by Paul Richard Johannessen, on life in Ishinomaki since the Tsunami. It gives a very real picture of what life is like for a lot of people after the Tsunami, and some of the very real problems that people face here.
